Have you ever wanted to learn to make silver charms, pendants, and earrings without all the fuss of other metalwork techniques? Well, come learn to work with silver clay! Learn how to apply textures and form metal clay to make unique jewelry. It’s fun!
All tools and materials will be supplied for use in class and no experience required!
Learn the basics of working with silver clay while creating a lovely earring and pendant set with guest Instructor Lydia Johns. This class is an introduction to shaping, texturing, firing and finishing pieces made with this fascinating material, which is actually very fine silver particles mixed with an organic binder.
These pieces look complex, but are actually easy and fun to create! Each student will receive 20g of silver clay and the findings you need to finish your projects. There will be many, many stamps available to use to customize your clay design.
This is a Make & Take class, so you'll be able to take your pendant home at the end of the class!
Age Requirement: 16 and up - students under 18 must have written consent from a parent or guardian.
Important: Closed-toe shoes are required for participation in all classes. Participants may be asked to sign a Release and Waiver of Liability upon arrival.
