Intermediate Copper Foil Stained Glass - 5-Week Summer Class - "Professional Pals" Inspired Panel

Inspired by the whimsical and detailed patterns found in Randy DeMello's “Professional Pals” pattern book, this intermediate workshop is perfect for stained glass artists looking to level up their skills. Students will need to come to Blue Moon to select their pattern in the week before the first class and should have their glass selected before the first class as well. 

These patterns are intentionally challenging, so come ready to learn new techniques, discover helpful tricks, and push yourself with precision cutting, working with negative space (open areas without glass), deep inside curves, tight fitting pieces, and more detailed panel construction.

Students should already feel comfortable with:
• Glass cutting and grinding
• Copper foiling
• Soldering
• Basic stained glass assembly
• Framing with lead came

Tools and materials are not included in the tuition. We'll discuss a few intermediate tools throughout the sessions, but all you'll need for the class are your standard tools.  Please bring your cutting tools, glass, and pattern with you to the first night of class, and be ready to get started right away!

Please note: It is advised not to do stained glass while you are pregnant.

Age Requirement: 16 and up - students under 18 must have written consent from a parent or guardian. 

Important: Closed-toe shoes are required for participation in all classes. Participants may be asked to sign a Release and Waiver of Liability upon arrival.
