Fused Glass Wavy Dish - December 18th

Create a fun and cool wavy dish using an “optical illusion” technique! Students will create a 5x5" decorative wavy dish using colored glass stringers and clear squares to manipulate the way glass pools when brought to a full fuse. The clear glass will collapse and pool in the area of the squares, and you will see the stringers stretch out and create an awesome fish-eye effect!

No experience necessary, all materials provided!

This fun technique is beginner-friendly, but also great for experienced fusers who are intrigued by manipulating the volume of glass when brought to a full fuse!

The project will go through two kiln firings: a full fuse followed by a gentle slump to give its final dish shape.

Your fused piece will be ready to pickup in a few days, after it's been fired & slumped in the kiln. We’ll contact you when ready for pick up!

Age Requirement: A parent or guardian registered for the class must accompany participants between the ages of 13 and 18 years old. Children under 13 are not permitted in the workshop area.

Important: Closed-toe shoes are required for participation in all classes. NO SANDALS! Participants may be asked to sign a Release and Waiver of Liability upon arrival.
