7-Week Intensive Course

Take your lead came skills to the next level in this seven-week intensive designed for stained glass artists with prior lead came experience. This educational course focuses on professional techniques used in custom stained glass and restoration, helping you build cleaner, stronger, and more refined leaded panels.

What You'll Learn:

- Accurate and advanced glass cutting techniques
- Cutting and incorporating mouth-blown rondels
- Advanced lead came cutting and construction
- Measuring, cutting, and mitering zinc frames
- Proper cementing with Moon Mud
- How to achieve a smooth, deep jet-black zinc patina
- Professional polishing techniques using a Pzaz brush
- Studio tips and techniques to improve the quality of every panel you build

As a bonus, each student will receive a complimentary mouth-blown, hand-whipped rondel to incorporate into their finished panel.

This is a technique-driven class with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, precision, and professional finishing methods. By the end of the course, you'll have the knowledge and confidence to produce stronger, cleaner, and more professional-quality leaded stained glass work.

Prerequisite: Students must have previous lead came experience or have completed Blue Moon Glassworks' Lead Came Course. This is not a beginner-level class.

Tools and materials are not included in the tuition. Please bring your tools to class!

IMPORTANT: Before the 1st class, students will need to come to Blue Moon Glassworks to get their pattern and buy glass for their project. Then bring your glass, pattern, and glass cutting tools to the 1st class, and be prepared to cut your glass the first night.

Please note: It is advised not to do stained glass while you are pregnant.

Age Requirement: 16 and up - students under 18 must have written consent from a parent or guardian. 

Important: Closed-toe shoes are required for participation in all classes. NO SANDALS! Participants may be asked to sign a Release and Waiver of Liability upon arrival.
