Designed for students with previous copper foil experience, whether you’ve made one panel or 150, you’ll take the skills you already know and learn how to push them into an entirely new dimension! The techniques you learn will give you a foundation for tackling all kinds of future 3D projects, from kaleidoscopes and terrariums to lamps and beyond.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYour instructor, Jim, will walk you through the process from your initial blank pattern and creating a simple design for your box lid, to building, soldering, adding hinges, and finishing accessories. We’ll focus on the techniques that make 3D construction successful, including accurate fitting, working with corners and angles, using a right-angle jig, and soldering upright pieces.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStudents can get creative with their box using colorful art glass, bevels, mirror, and more. Please keep in mind that designs will need to remain fairly simple due to the limited class time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eStudents will bring their own tools and materials and should select their glass before class.
