Fast-Track Lead Stained Glass - 4-Week Class - June 2025

Students must have recent experience with glass cutting (within the last 12 months), and ideally will have taken a copper foil stained glass class or equivalent beginner class. 

In this class, students will learn the technique of making leaded stained glass by building on the skills they learned in the copper foil stained glass class. This will include lead construction, soldering, and stained glass cement application. 

This class is designed as a condensed class based on the difference between copper foil and lead. Students will complete an abstract lead panel with a pattern which is provided. Some work outside of class may be necessary. 

IMPORTANT: Before the 1st class, students will need to come to Blue Moon Glassworks to get their pattern and buy glass for their project (alternatively you may use glass you already have, but you'll still need to pickup the pattern and identify the glass you plan to use before the first class!). Then, bring your glass, pattern, and glass cutting tools to the 1st class, and be prepared to cut your glass the first night.

Tools and materials are not included in the tuition. Please bring your glass cutting tools and your glass with you to the first class!

Please note: It is advised not to do stained glass while you are pregnant.

Age Requirement: 16 and up - students under 18 must have written consent from a parent or guardian. 

Important: Closed-toe shoes are required for participation in all classes. Participants may be asked to sign a Release and Waiver of Liability upon arrival.
