Beginner Copper Foil Stained Glass - 6-Week Class - April/May - Saturday Afternoon Session

Students will learn all the basics of the art of stained glass, including: glass cutting techniques, design considerations, copper foil construction, soldering, patina use, and framing a stained glass panel.

No experience necessary, this is a beginner class!

Students will complete a copper foil panel project. We have many beginner patterns to choose from! **Please read the "Pattern Guidelines" below for more info about choosing your pattern. 

Tools and materials are not included in the tuition. Glass, tools, and supplies will run approximately $400-$500 and we have everything you’ll need available for purchase at Blue Moon. (These expenses will be spread out over the 6 weeks.) If you have your own tools, you’re welcome to bring them to class!

Since this is a 6-week class, please ensure you’re available each night of the class (make-up class fees may be incurred for missed classes). Please review our class cancellation policy HERE. 

Please note: It is advised not to do stained glass while you are pregnant.

Age Requirement: 16 and up - students under 18 must have written consent from a parent or guardian. 

Important: Closed-toe shoes are required for participation in all classes. Participants may be asked to sign a Release and Waiver of Liability upon arrival.

Pattern Guidelines: Students will select a pattern from Blue Moon’s in-house beginner pattern binder. These 20+ patterns are instructor-tested and designed to support skill building and successful completion within the class timeframe. Pattern selection happens after the first class, so there’s no rush to choose right away. Once the foundational skills are learned, students are encouraged to explore more complex and free-form designs in future classes.
